Unfortunately, it's only for Canadian "peso" listings, not US dollars. Does anybody know if the C$ listings would still show up under the default ebay.com search or only from the Advanced International search?

Today, June 26 is the Penny Gallery special on ebay.com. You get to add a gallery photo for U$0.01 instead of the usual U$0.25. Which is better:
- listing today in ebay.cOM in U$ with the Penny Gallery, or
- listing tomorrow for free in ebay.cA in Canadian dollars?

Do you need to put your credit card on file?

Make sure you select that you will ship to the US or Internationally and your auction will show up on ebay.com . I also explain that the buyer can pay in US or Cdn currency at the start of my description.

eBay likes to hide their specials like Free Listing Day and Penny Gallery. Can anybody still find the link with the fine print? For example, can you start to prepare a listing on ebay.ca and submit it right at 12:01 AM on Thursday, June 27?

Any good places I could auction off online without a credit card? I have some loose wrestling figures (some rare) I want to get rid of.

What are other tips for the eBay free listing? Here are some to consider:

1) Use two categories, since they'll both be free!
2) Put a higher starting price disregarding the usual fee structure.
3) List all items you have time for, since you have nothing to lose if they don't sell.

Post during the evening so your auction ends during the evening -- more people are likely to be home and in front of their PCs at 9pm rather than at 2 in the afternoon. This is useful for those impulse bidderes that like to bid at the last minute in hopes of deal.

Is there a way to automatically submit your listing at a certain time instead of waiting to submit it manually?

Are eBay.ca free listing days always on January & July? If I don't get around to listing all my junk today, will I have to wait until next year again? Juju's Search function hasn't been working lately.

Was there one in January too?? I can't remember.
It seems to me that they declare a free listing day every 3 months. Here are the FLDs that I had in my records, I may have missed some....

eBay.ca Free Listing Days:

June 10th 2001
Aug 12th 2001
Dec 27th 2001
March 28th 2002
June 27th 2002

I am happy to see it moved from a Sunday to a Thursday, as that's my usual listing day. (a 10 day auction listed on a Thursday ends on the weekend when the site has more traffic )

Btw, you can also take advantage of the eBay.com free listing days as well. There should be one coming up fairly soon. Probably sometime in July.
