Hello everyone! I need some help here. An old friend of mine recently moved to a new apartment in the other end of town. She is an older lady who doesnt work. Her husband works alot. She keeps to herself alot, the finances are low, no internet or cable. She asked if I could find some free magazines, recipe books, and the likes to have sent to her.I have found a few, like the kraft and gaylea ones. If anyone can tell me where there are others Im sure she woud greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Because you need to make at least 111 posts to make an avatar selection (the little pictures below member's names on their posts) and more to make other choices or upload your own.

I haven't seen any new magazine one's lately but they show up from time-to-time. You have to kjeep your eyes open. Be careful about any of the "one free issue" offers because you have to cancel right away if you don't want to pay the bill.
Christmas is coming so there should be quite a few recipe books coming out. I know there is usually one from Robin Hood and one from Ocean Spray so you could check their sites.

Can the fishies check this site out and give me their opinion if its for reral? I am afraid to use it as I wondered if it was a spammers site?

if you are going to sign up for this..make a new yahoo or excite email addy that you use only for this site and see how much spam you get out of it.

I have an email address that I use just for sites that look kinda spammy

Mind you I don't use my home email address for ANY freebie no matter what it is or who it is. I get enough email there as is without getting spammed.

That is the first sign that it's spammy. I signed up for something like this about a year ago with my gmail account and all the garbage that came back from it goes right into the spam folder.

I haven't been able to enter the Quick and Simple contest either yesterday or today on either Netscape OR IE.

I only get the top and side of the page, but not the list of prizes that you click on to enter.

Anyone else having this problem?

Th page has changed. Perhaps you need to clear your cookies/temp files to reach the new one.

Was anyone notified this past Friday that they had won prizes in the Free the Band contest?

We never won on the daily instant win, buy my boys had been sooooo hoping to bag one of the 151 prizes given out in their draw.

The contest details said that winners would be chosen "on or about Thursday October 26th" and winners notified "on or about Friday October 27th".

We're still holding our breath that "on or about" may not have happened yet, so if anyone knows of someone winning, could you please put us out of our misery?
