That mystery shop thing actually works? Never actually heard of anybody doing it.

I do it occasionally and have got free meals, free gas, etc. You pay up front and get reimbursed the following month. Mine goes directly in my bank acct. but I wish it went in paypal, that way I'd have an excuse to shop online!

Some are better than others. I had to wonder sometimes whether it was just a ploy to get you to spend money. For instance, one place was a pretty pricey women's clothing store where you had to make a minimum purchase of i think $30. The thing you were supposed to try on and ask the salesperson about was pants for instance. Yet when it came to make a purchase, very few things were less than the $30, and after having the salesperson help you try on a handfull of pants, you buy a tanktop?! I suppose if it were a place you normally shop it would be fine..but I ended up with some clothes I never wear that cost me a lot.

The other thing is to ensure you read the shop instructions meticulously. I missed one small detail once, and did not get reimbursed one penny for the purchases I made on the shop. (Again of products I don't use!) No receipt either, because I had to send it to the company!

Generally the pay is $10 plus the reimbursement of your shop allowance. I'm sure it works for many people, but I just thought it to be more of a pain than anything.

Quite a few of the mystery shop outfits are switching to PayPal for payroll deposits - you could ask whoever you work for.

My mail had to come in a Post Office van today!

Samples of something in capsules from ProNatura - not sure what it is but it is supposed to cure anything that ails me;

Samples (5 of them) from DuWop - Lip Venom, hair stuff, cream, other glosses, and a brochure;

A can of Enfamil baby formula with coupons for baby vitamins;

2 tiny packages of Jelly Bellys;

and a beautiful gold chain I bought on eBay - my daughter broke hers & it was cheaper to buy a new one than fix it!

Hope everyone else has a great day too

I will say that one of my shops was at another clothing store that was more reasonable. I ended up just buying bras which you can;t have enough of LOL So that shop was worth it. I ended up quitting after the one where I made a mistake though. It shouldn't COST money to be a mystery shopper!! I am sure for some people, who have a car and free time, it is worth it, as a hobby..but not to make money by any means!

We just got home from the Coors Light Maxim Golf Cruise that I won passes to from Q107. Aside from the Coors Light lanyards that came with the boarding passes we also came home with 5 tee shirts that have either a large 1 on them that say "hole in" 1 or a large 3 that say 3 "some". We also got two black fabric visors that have the Coors Light Golf logo on them & a bunch of regular golf balls, as well as a really neat shiny silver/chrome one that says Coors Light on one side & Maxim on the other.
When we first got on the boat they gave us each three drink tickets & a ticket for the buffet dinner that was boneless/skinless chicken breasts on a bun, veggie burgers, chips & salsa, veggies & dip & a bunch of cold salads. They had all kinds of awesome prizes to give away for the games they had, plus there were a few ladies wandering around in various stages of undress. It was a great way to spend an otherwise boring Monday night in Toronto! We had an awesome time!

On Sunday my Mom & I went to the Pride parade & they were giving away freebies like crazy! All kinds of buttons, condoms, lube samples, mardi-gras beads, frisbee-like things, magnets & stickers as well as magazines & a few tee shirts. Ikea was there giving away big blue & yellow umbrellas (We didn't get one of those though ) & people from Schick were there giving away men & womens Quattro razors! We had a great time!
