I enjoyed barbie, where I could use pants as hair accessories, and blankets as dresses. And I had this thing with hard plastic designs of skirts, tops with different patterns? put them together to form a woman. Then you would go over it with your pencil and get a 'rubbing'? very fun

The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face. Edited by keisha on

Oh yeah! My cousin had that! (She had everything )

But that just reminded me of spirograph!

Which of course is now available as a computer game....

I'm not sure it would be as fun but atleast your pen wouldn't keep coming outta the little holes and screwing up your picture!

A microscope. We would look at snot and make people spit on the slides so we could gross out about all the bacteria in their mouths, look at fly guts etc. Lego was great, too. I still love to help my kids make stuff with it.

Lego has got to be one of the all time best toys. I also had a fisherprice farm. It came with people and animals, and you could keep them all inside the 'barn'. And when you opened the barn up it would 'mooo'.

And beyond, that is the funniest story about your mom making your non-barbies clothes! It sounds exactly like something my mom would do, but she wouldn't buy me barbies at all (negative female image thing).

What I LOVED was my oven - Easybake? You know, the plastic yellow oven with the light bulb inside that really works. . . but this is where MY mom cheaped out. She thought the cake mixes that they sold for it where a rip-off, so I only got to use it when she would make a cake (I would get the last bit of batter in the bowl). It just wasn't the same.

I was a nerd. LOVED my books! Still do. Actual playthings, tho? hmmmm. Hated Barbie, cause my rich cousin always had more, bigger, better. I think probably, ummm.....my bike. I'd ride for hours.
GOD! wasn't I a pathetic child?!?

I can't beleive that they had a Archie Bunker Doll!! My husband loves this show.

I couldn't remember, there were many so i asked my mom and sadly she informs me the thing i loved and played with the very most was a big green tupperware bowl filled with lids and stuff. She said i'd sit there for hours on the floor spinning it and putting stuff in and taking it out....How sad. As the years progressed i'd have to say it was my stuffed monkey...George. My mom also mentioned that the phone (unplugged of course) gave me endless hours of entertainment, Ha, still does...

If being a mom was easy, a man could do it.
