Does anyone with a GTA book have the Eddie Bauer Warehouse coupons? My husband took the book to work to share with his friends and it came back without my favorites.

I will trade almost any of the other coupons for EB coupons.

I've used them on 2 Alamo rentals, and never had to turn them in or show the Entertainment card (although I did have them ready to be surrendered). Although if you'll read my experience in
Honolulu, I'll be surprised if they even know what to do with it.

Most recently on a Hertz rental at LAX, they stapled the coupon (United Airlines 50% off) to the rental agreement at pickup, and asked to surrender it upon drop off. So YMMV.

I was asking because I priced out a rental from Budget with the coupon code from the Entertainment Book coupon. The coupon is supposed to be for $20 off a weekly rental, but it seems to knock the price down a lot more than $20 (any of the Entertainment coupon codes for Budget resulted in the same rate). So I was just wondering if there was any chance that, after the reservation is made online, the agent at the rental pickup location looks at the coupon and applies just a $20 discount instead giving the rate made through the online reservation system.

But knowing how wildly rental rates vary, I would assume that the agent would just go by what's in the system rather than try to force a rate of his own.

I'd say the chances of this happening are very good. Especially if you rent from an airport that is extremely busy. They are more interested in selling you that upgrade, fuel purchase option, or insurance. It will generally be the independent city locations that will have a closer look at the pricing structure.

In my experiences where I had to surrender coupons, DBCs, upgrades, vouchers they usually just look at the expiry date.

Unfortunately, it's at a teeny tiny airport. But we'll see what happens (tomorrow night).
