Just for those who don't know yet, I received this letter to-day!!! This is why some of us are nervous about sharing info even if we would like to.
“I AGREE”
Do you remember typing this before you started your last PineCone
product survey? I’m writing to every panelist to remind everyone of the
absolute importance of confidentiality. While I don’t want to copy the
agreement word for word, you were agreeing to keep all information about
the questionnaire and product that you were evaluating confidential.
This included not talking about it, copying any information from the
survey, or sharing the product outside your household. You also agreed
that members of your household were under the same obligation of
confidentiality.
Your agreement covers not sharing any knowledge of a new product that
you read about or received in any public way. This includes posting
comments on internet chat rooms and on internet bulletin boards. We trust
you with the information that is provided within the survey. Our
clients trust us with this very proprietary information. We must be able to
maintain our promise to them of confidentiality. Panelists who break
their promise to us to keep the subject material confidential are not
only removed immediately but jeopardize the continued operation of the
PineCone Panel, which could affect others participation.
I am very grateful to the panelists who report this kind of security
breach. Please continue to notify me if you see some reference to
confidential information that was obtained from PineCone Research. I
appreciate all these “eyes” looking out for the interests of PineCone
Research and our participants!
Remember, we will protect your privacy, so please protect ours! And
also, when you type “I AGREE,” you are making a legal commitment to do
so.
Thank you for being part of PineCone Research, where we value your
participation and your privacy!
This message is being sent to our entire PineCone Research panel, no
response is required.
