My favourite banana bread recipe:

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup Crisco oil
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups flour
3 ripened, mashed bananas
2 tsp vanilla

Mix in order given. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.

All these recipes are making me hungry!!!

I have an awesome steak marinade as well!

Lay your steaks out in a baking pan. Dash worchestershire sauce & soya sauce on both sides. (I use LOTS!) Then take garlic puree (can be bought in jars in the bbq sauce aisle) and spread on both sides. Put in the oven at 250 for 3 hours, turning every hour. Then BBQ or in winter fry in pan with NO oil. Comes out tasty and TENDER! Loving it!

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!

Mud Pies...
In a Med.size pot, mix together..
2 cups of white sugar
1/2 cup of milk
6 tablespoons of cocoa
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla..
Bring to a boil (but don't boil it too long or it won't form later) Take it off the burner..
Then add..3 cups of uncooked oatmeal, and 1 cup of shredded coconut. Mix well. Then just spoon it onto wax paper and let cool. Enjoy

As soon as I find it, i'll post my spanish rice recipe! It's awesome if you like mushrooms, tomato, sausage and rice! I don't know HOW I missed this post, it is a great one! So many yummy-sounding recipes! I love to cook. So far my favorite is the garlic steak marinade. I've only seen this page, though..mmm...I'm getting the munchies now.

I finally started to do some Christmas baking, so here's what I have so far:

Cherry Thumbprint Cookies

1 c butter - softened
1 c sugar
2 eggs - separated
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
2 c crushed corn flakes
glazed cherries

Cream butter & sugar. Add egg yolk & vanilla. Beat. Stir in flour a bit at a time, mixing well after each time. Beat egg whites until frothy. Shape dough in 1" balls. Dip in egg white & roll in corn flake crumbs. Place about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Press down with thumb in the middle of each. Place 1/2 glazed cherry in center. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Makes about 4 - 5 doz. and are my all time favorite.
