It's not a brand name but it looked well built. Had a 16x9 screen and appears to be a generic knock-off the Panasonic ones I've seen at Future SHop. I'd rather spend the money on discs but if anyone is interested Wal-Mart is the only place they sell them (Exclusive to sign next to it). If they have any sort of electronic extended warrenty plan it might be a good idea to get it. [EDIT: added 'DVD' to title ]
