Yes they are generics, but this is a closer step to getting the Time/Warner value titles for under $10 like the U.S. Wal/K-mart/Targert stores. Here's the 3 I picked up:
Best of the Blues Brothers
2 "Colgagte Comedy Hour" 's Starring Abbott & Costello
John Sayle's "Brother From Another Planet"
Have not checked the last two yet but the Blues Brothers disc is a decent transfer (not like the Madacy crap). They all are from same company so hopefully all the transfers will be good.
Yes. Basically anything that isn't owned by AOL-Time-Warner-EMI Just kidding...
These non-studio discs are pretty decent. "Brother" doesn't have any chapters but I'm fine with the transfer. the Blues Brothers are pretty kewl...lots of concert footage and interviews with Dan Ackroyd + chapter breaks . I havn't checked the Abbott & Costello disc yet but it says it has film credits for the duo, Fan Club info/Trivia and bios (text I'm assuming).
I love these wacky titles...currently I'm waiting for "Rescue from Gilligan's Island" to ccome off pre-order and it's only $4.99 so if I those notel gc's comethough it's be a sweet free disc!
I get as excited over these $5 discs like I do over the $45 Image ones I order so I'm a happy camper...
