You might be thinking: I like to chat with the people on Goldfishlegs, but Juju is saying we shouldn't use the forums like a chat room, and has slowed things down to help the server. He says that our posts should try to have some substance, but I sometimes just want to be silly with the people here. You know, just idle chit chat. So what do I do?
Well, why not get in contact with the people in the Bowl that you like to chat with regularly and move the really silly conversations to ICQ, MSN Messenger, or IRC chat rooms? "How do I do that?" you ask? Err, I don't know. I never got into chatting online, but I watched people do it. The closest I've ever gotten to a chat room was on a game site where another user and I complimented each other's Connect 4 skills. 
But, you know, I bet there are lots of people here that do know how this chat stuff works. And I bet it's easy peasy once you get it going.
So use this thread to share your favourite chat rooms, your usernames, questions and answers on how to set this up. If you don't want your username to be known to everybody in the Bowl, you could Private Message just the people you want, or post here to ask certain people to get in contact with you.
I don't know if this is gonna work, but how about we give it a try?
NOTE: I'm not trying to drive anybody away from Goldfishlegs. I'm just trying to help out Juju, cut down the number of really silly, no substance, idle chit chat posts by suggesting a more appropriate place for it.
