Any Canadian website to get cigars ?

How many were you looking to get, and were you looking for Cubans or others?

A box of Cuban.

Here are three Canadian websites I found:

based in Victoria. A retail operation with a good web/mail sideline.
Also, there might be a Canadian site for La Casa del Habano - they're the authorized distributor, and they have a couple of shops (one in Toronto, one in Vancouver, likely one in Whistler).
Be warned, the tax will hurt a great deal, and it will vary by province. I think BC has the highest tobacco taxes, so you may want to order from Ontario. The tax is usually worked into the retail price, so that makes it even trickier to find the best deal. I've never ordered by mail or web within Canada, so I'm not sure, but I don't think an Ontario transaction will have the BC tobacco taxes added to it. Might be best to check, though.

This sounds right. In the past, I've ordered cigarettes from Ontario to avoid the tax....saves about $20 per carton.

I can get genuine cuban cohiba esplendios (the big ones) for $25 US a box.... But unfortunately involves going to cuba

If you're going to be buying cigars in Cuba, I'd either stick to the authorized stores (at the factories or otherwise), or be sure to check out the Cigar Aficienado (sp?) guide to fakes... It's on-line.

Nah, dude. Just go to Cuba. They are real cheap there (Maybe not $25 for Cohiba's, but still...). It is ridiculous. I am going there this afternoon. You may think I am kidding, but I swear to you, I am off on vacation for two weeks. Everyone I know has just about attacked me wanting me to bring them back.

Yes, you have to buy them from the authorized stores to get them through customs (Canadian, I believe... I don't think they are too strict with that on the Cuban side).

Both of those sites list the prices in US$, by the way.

Suffice it to say, if you're buying boxes of Esplendidos for $25 a box, you're buying fakes.

If you're still in doubt, post a question like "Are the Cohiba Esplendidos I've bought in Cuba for $25 a box REAL?" over at alt.smokers.cigars and see what sort of responses you get...

Well they may be fake, but they are still good. They do come in a box with a glass top and they do have all the genuine certificates included with them, they have just been put together by people who work at the place made the cigars( they are allowed to take 2 cigars out with them a day) and then swiped the box
