I don't want a monthly bill, I just want to pay and talk. Right now I do not have any phone. What would be the cheapest deal for a phone and activation ?
where are u? I have a Telus Clearnet Dual Mode Sanyo Model SCP-4000 phone that my sister uses sometime when she comes to visit. I'll sell it to u for $120 with $75 worth of pre-paid calling card that we bought from Office Depot. My suggestion is to call 1-877-Clearnet to ask them if there is any charges on top if you just take over the phone.
BTW I am in Mississauga...so if you are in the GTA that would be great. lam_bach@hotmail.com
Generally, Rogers AT&T has the best prepaid deal, called the 'ready4U', depending on the phone model, prices start @ around $70 including 3 month of service. In the long run, and for those who will not use their cell phone often, Fido offers the best rate per minute with their refillable charge cards.
Rogers pay as you go just had a deal, phone shipped with 5$ card for 57$.
its 33 cents a minute but your minutes only last between 30-90 days depending on what you pay. I pay 10$ a month for 30 minutes and if I want them carried over if I dont use them, I have to buy some each month.
I bought this thinking that I basically just used the phone when I wanted and was billed for each minute, but it doesn't work like that.
Offer valid from August 1, 2003 to September 15, 2003. Offer available online and at any participating Pay As You Go distributor. Bonus airtime will be added to your Pay As You Go account within 24 hours of adding airtime.
Sears Connect gives a good deal. Their cell phones are GSM network phones via Cityfone, a reseller of Fido services. So, it's only good for those who live in the bigger cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, etc.
