Well, first off, I'm a sucker for romantic comedies, and they laid on the romance real nice throughout the first half of this lovable movie. The humour was equally respected by the screenwriters as well, and an authentic story was actually apparent underneath the whole enterprise.

I really enjoyed Fever Pitch!

On the downside, the romance, comedy, and story seemed to be forgotten for about a half hour towards the end of the movie, but darned if the whole thing didn't seem to get itself righted by the closing credits. The baseball thing wasn't critical to me, but perhaps if your a fan, it might be a pro or con - doesn't really matter though, it was really just a symbol of individual interest's role within mutual loving relationships.

(Reviewer's Disclosure: First, I'm a huge fan of the Farrelly Brothers - ranking their great films in this order: Kingpin, Something About Mary, Stuck on You, Dumb and Dumber, Shallow Hal - their only misfire was the abysmal Me, Myself, and Irene. Second, I thought both the movie Taxi and Jimmy Fallon's part in it were severely under-rated earlier this year - if you haven't seen it because of all the bad WOM, do yourself a favour - Rent It! ...And thirdly, I never get tired of Drew Barrymore, she's my perennial cutie and sells this type of RomCom to me with barely a bat of her eyelashes.)

4 out of 5.

Glad to hear it will be worth the money (though I too adore Drew Barrymore).
This is one RomCom that I will be able to drag the man to go see - he has always been OBSESSED with the Red Sox, so I had to endure pretty much the same thing as Drew's character last year

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.
