We just moved into our new/old house and found out that in the middle of the living room carpet their is a bleach stain that the previous owners had covered with furniture. The carpet is a mid to dark grey is their anyway to dye it or is that something that we should have been made aware of by the old owners ie have our lawyer deal with it ?

I am assuming You BOUGHT this house and are not just renting it? That will make a big difference in what you will be able to do I would say.

I'd change the carpet. If there was something nasty enough in that spot that they had to 'clean' it with bleach, I'd redo the carpeting.

ugh carpet gives me the willies.

Replace it. Then you have the piece of mind
of having nice fresh clean carpet too, not
living among other peoples cooties.

I hate carpet! I'd much rather have hardwood with a few nice rugs! Carpet makes rooms dusty & never is truly "clean". It's even worse when it's someone else's dirt in your carpet!!

My next project is getting rid of the carpet in the bedroom & getting a nice blond wood floor, the carpet is still in great shape but I hate it!

I'll save you the cost of a phone call to your lawyer. You bought that house "as-is." You have no recourse unless the seller or their agent made some false representation about the state of that carpet.
