I have a bit of a weird problem and was wondering if anyone would know what might've made it happen. When I open messenger or any program that has anything to do with the internet, the font is almost super sized. Nobody has touched the computer all day except for me and all I did is check my emails and go to a couple websites like I normally do. I don't know if there's a spot somewhere to change the font size, but it seems to have just changed on its own. Can somebody help me??

Assuming you have XP, go to Help & Support, then Customizing your Computer, then Font & Texts & follow the instructions.

That said - I had the exact same problem just a week after getting a brand new computer and after trying everything I could think of (and almost tearing my hair out in the process) I finally ran System Restore and it worked!

You might also try running a serious anti-virus scan - you mentioned you had been to a couple of websites and maybe something wiggled it's way in?

Good luck - I'm sure some more computer savvy fishy will have better advice - but thats what worked for me

Something else too, when you have explorer opened, click on View at the top, look for the TEXT SIZE, click here and make sure it isn't set on Large or Larger.....mine is set at medium. I know different times strange things have happened similar and it is changed in there......I think its the gremlins playing with mine. Hope you get it figured out.

THANK YOU! I have no idea how that got changed. Such a simple solution after running all my spyware and antivirus programs and searching through everything! It wasn't a big deal, but it was quite annoying. Thanks you guys!

Since everyone is so helpful with computer problems, I have one!

How do I reset my computer back in date? I've done this before but for the life of me can't remember how I did it. I deleted some files and I know that if I change the date on my computer back a few days I will be able to have them again!

Thanks!!

Go in your start menu: Programs-Accessories-System tools and then System restore. This has a dialogue box that lets you choose the date to restore to.

MAYBE YOUR COMPUTER MAYBE RUNNING IN WHAT THEY CALL SAFE MODE. SOME PROGRAMS WILL AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE YOUR COMPUTER INTO THIS MODE. ESPECIALLY OLDER GAME PROGRAMS. I BELIEVE IF YOU PUSH F1 WHILE YOUR COMPUTER IS BOOTING UP IT WILL EITHER PUT YOU IN SAFE MODE OR TAKE YOU OUT OF SAFE MODE. IN SAFE MODE TEXT IS VERY LARGE. HOPE THIS HELPS. I KNOW IT DID FOR ME LAST YEAR WHEN I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I AM RUNNING WINDOWS XP. GOOD LUCK!

Could you please turn off your caps when posting in online forums. It is seen as "yelling" when you type like that.

Nope, although you may still be able to find it in your "Deleted Items" folder?

No, I deleted it a few weeks ago, so that's been emptied. Oh well live and learn!

Thanks.
