I was just reading Womans World and as usual there is a diet to try. This week it is www.kimkins.com . It looks too good to be true, however there are a lot of people trying it with success. Its a little strict, less so than the Adkins Diet, but with outstanding results. I, as a carb addict, think i will have a tough time with this one, but would love to know that it actually worked. or is worth the sacrifice.

I think if a diet sounds too good to be true you can be positive that it is.

One thing for sure, if you really do lose weight as fast as they say, you will also gain it back just as quickly the minute you stop the diet. People that lose weight quickly on restrictive diets NEVER keep the weight off. (This is not just me saying so: every study on weight loss says the same thing!)

I do agree that if you lose weight fast you are just as likely to gain it back (the yo yo effect).......but......my sister was obese until about four years ago...She went on a diet that was similar to Atkins after years of trying everything.....Finally she lost weight for the first time ever.....This gave her the incentive to continue eating properly.....She lost enough weight to be considered healthy and has kept it off.....The initial weight loss gave her the incentive to keep an acceptable physical routine going and cut down the bad food. Sometimes we just need that initial quick loss to jump start us....

Every story is different.....but YOU have to WANT to do it bad enough........just be careful.....if it were that easy we would all be fit and slim.
