Got this email today and it is no good for me thought I'd post it here just didnot know where to put it.

Happy September Youth Culture Network,

We are totally excited about this new project!

Youth Culture and Bluenotes are looking for 17-21 year olds across Canada
to come to Toronto for September 19th and 20th to work on a top-secret,
top-priority project. Well, maybe not so secret... but most important
nonetheless!

So, we'd fly you into Toronto from wherever you are in Canada and treat
you like a star in exchange for completing a 3 hour focus group. That's
pretty cool considering for your 3 hours of service, you get the
opportunity to work with a major clothing company, fly to Toronto for free
and meet other people your age from around the country. Perfect for your
resume, perfect for making new friends!

Okay you're thinking, what's the catch? The catch is this, in order to
qualify we need you to write us something about yourself and email us a
picture... by this Tuesday noon at the latest. First come, first serve!
Make sure to tell us your age, whether you're in high school, college,
university or working full time, what you do when you're not in school,

Caper, don't take it personally. The companies in the list have emailed us (either me or someone here) personally to ask us not to post links to their site. So we follow their wishes -- their loss right?

So do I delete this post or do you or what do I do?

The actual link contained in Caper's post is in all actually not a link to the Youth Culture site but to a survey for a client of theirs.

The e-mail has been passed on and as Caper mentioned, that was encouraged in the text of the message.

It's certainly something we have to watch for in the future, but I seen no harm in this faux pas. Technically- as forementioned, wishes were respected.

Actually it is the e-mail with the survey info in it that Youth Culture doesn't want posted. I made the mistake of posting a similar e-mail from them about a survey a couple of months ago. Danielle from Youth Culture e-mailed me about it. While she does want people to pass the e-mails on to anyone who might be interested, she doesn't want them to be posted on any boards online--and was quite upset that it had been.

Thanks for the info, an e-mail from her certainly helps clarify her wishes.

As I mentioned, it's something that we have to watch for in the future.

This thread is best left open to better gather awareness of the issue. Not everyone reads the "posties", so hopefully more bowl members will see this thread and be more cognizant of the fact that there are companies wishing not to be posted here.
