I have recently decided to started my own company and need a little help with market opinion and research.

The company is call the Gourmet Barkery and we create all natural, and organic dog treats. Here's is what I am offer: The first 25 bowl members who reply will receive a free bag of treats (please these are only dog treast so only repsond if you have a dog) along with a questionnaire. After your dog has eaten the treats, please take a couple of minutes to fill out your responses and mail them back to me (postage paid of course). All respones, negative and positive are welcomed and appreciated.

If you would be interested in having a sample of the treats please pm me your name, address, pet's name and breed.

Isn,t this a form of self promtion? I thought this wasn.t allowed for bowl members

I don't think this is self promotion, she isn't asking you to buy anything, just try her product and let her know what you think (or what your dog thinks lol)

By the way if you start making cat treats let me know!

Thanks PilotGirl, I've PM'ed you my info By the way, I agree this is not self promotion, but a product testing for her products. She is asking us to test her products, and give our feedback, not promoting it.

Yup, this is correct. A common marketing tactic is to offer "free valuable info" or create a poll just to get the product's name in front of people's eyes.

The Bowl isn't for free advertising or market research, hence the rule.

But, it's Xmas soon, so I'll let this one go. Have fun with your doggie treats.

Thank You Costa for letting this stay on the board. I have to say the way some people are ( read greedy) there is no way I would post a freebie sample for survey offer on my website. People are always boasting of all the freebies they got that they don't even know what they are, don't have kids yet get the kids freebies, don't have pets but... I'm sure you get the point...

I agree w/ Csk's Mom some people ruin great offers by requesting more than one when it specifies one per customer and then the company can't keep up with demand and cancels the offer, which sucks! but mos tfishies are respectful in this bowl which is great!

My apologies to all in the bowl. This isn't intended to be used as self-promotion to get my product in front of people. I will be sure to re-read the rules.
