Most of the time if you go down to a bridal salon, they will give you a wedding book. When I was on the hunt for the perfect dress, the first 2 bridal salons I went to offered me one.

Of course, I may have to go hunting again. The building where my dress was stored burned down. We think the dress is still available, but I'm waiting to see. It's still 5 months away.

Good luck getting some bridal magazines. If you're looking for some wedding links, I have tons. Just pm me if you want them

Amy

Beware the toes you step on today, they may be attached to the @ss you kiss tomorrow!!

Have any other fishies had any problems with Milesource?

I redeemed a gift certificate back in May 2002, and still have not received it. I have sent probably 20 emails complaining, and even contacted giftcertificates.ca. They have no record of my order. To me, this is extremely poor customer service, and now they have just totally ignored my emails.

Does anyone deal with milesource and have they ever received their gift certificates or prizes?

Thanks, appreciate the feedback.

Steph

Last year, I redeemed my points from Milesource for a $50. gift certificate at The Bombay Company; when I finally had lost hope in ever getting it after many months, it arrived in the mail. You never know.

Chapters: Free Shipping on Toy orders $25 or over!!

Hi all....I keep entering the Home Made Simple daily entry contests and I was wondering if anyone here has ever won? Seeing as it's a daily entry submission the odds of winning would seem pretty slim, as this brings in quite a few entries from the same people each day. Also it's not only for Canada but for the US. Some of these prizes are great.

No person was honored for what he received - Honor has been the reward for what they've given!!

Ok..I know this isn't about a freebie..But i really need some help here, and I know someone may know where to go

My aquarium filter broke, and i really need to get a new aquarium (3 gallon). I'm a little afraid to buy used in case there may be bacteria that kills fish, as you can't use soap to clean them.

So, I'm wondering if anyone knows a cheap place to buy a small aquarium, or if anyone knows of other sites with a contest to win one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sarcasm,
actually a larger aquarium is easier to take care of. I find the bigger the tank less maintanace as the filters/pumps & what not does a lot of the work by itself. Sorry I can,t answer your origanil question though. I,m pretty sure there is a special soap that can be used for cleaning tanks & accessories. Purchased from a pet shop. Also I can not forsee a weak solution of regular dishsoap reallywater down & rinsed thourghally hurting the fish.

Keep posting, I need all the freebies I can get!

Ok I have a few questions. Is your filter separate from your tank? Couldn't you just get a new filter? Or is it too expensive? Do you have a Pj's Pets near you? A 3 gallon aquarium should not be too expensive. (Hopefully!) I just remember buying a 10 gallon tank for $10.00 or so. As for cleaning out a used tank what I used to do is get a scotch brite type pad and some household vinegar (not diluted) and scrape off all the scale and give the tank a really good cleaning. Let the vinegar sit on there for at least 20 minutes and then rinse it very, very well. Then you can go ahead and add your water and let it sit over night before ading your fish.

Sorry I cannot help you with some stores to go to as I live in Alberta.

HTH

Carrie

Thanks so much everyone, I knew I could count on you for suggestions. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who fixes the filters, and sending to the company would be too expensive. I just feel bad for my little frog because I can't keep the tank clean enough without the filter. I didn't know vinegar could be used. They say any little thing can make the frog sick. Thanks again everyone! My froggie says thanks too!
