Hmm. Not a bad deal. Never heard of dvdsoon.com, though, but then again I'm really out of touch regarding online DVD shopping. Anyone have any experiences with them they'd like to share?

Well, I'm a member of the #dvd (efnet) and we have a regular who is from Sweden. He gets his dvds fast. Less than 2 weeks easily. At times less than one week. Has ordered from them many times.

They are a Quebec company btw in case you haven't checked.

I'll definitely give them a try for the Jack Ryan CE dvds. Actually, I would have liked to have bought Stargate UE from them too but I had already ordered from futureshop.ca thinking I had found "the best" price :P Oh well...

I can't get the link to work, is there something wrong with the link or the website?

The catch with DVDSoon is that they charge your cc when you place the order, not when it ships. Also refunds are a hassle. Other than that they're fine.

Just a couple weeks ago, it was free shipping with no limit.

Interesting, if I eliminate the www. and just try dvdsoon.com, it connects but gets a bad request linux error message.

Road to Perdition worries me on this site though. They list the one version as having DTS and everything when there is suppose to be a seperate DVD with DTS etc..

It is the correct version. Universal/Dreamworks really screwed up on this release. They are releasing three separate versions - FS DD 5.1, WS DD 5.1 and WS DD 5.1/DTS 5.1. The only difference between the two widescreen versions besides the DTS, is that the DD 5.1 version has the "HBO Making of" featurette.

My question to you - Why release a separate DTS version if you're going to include DD 5.1 on it anyway?! This should have been a 2-disc set with the extras on the second disc. What a major screw-up if you ask me!

from what I've read on all other sites and reviews the release package is:

- fullscreen DD
- widescreen DD
- widescreen DTS w/o that documentary

I've read the review at DVDFile.com and it indicates that the DTS version does indeed have a DD 5.1 track as well. Also, several users who have received their discs are verifying this.

Interesting and very odd, like you noted. If someone is buying a DTS dvd, they obviously don't care for DD unless the DTS track is screwed up!
