I also sent a little something to Valleygirl73 too. She loved it. It wasn't a big deal just wanted her and ChristmasCarol to have something to open even if it was just in an envelope.lol I thought there was only the two that didnot get something. Sorry sarcasm I would have sent you something too had I known. But now someone else has taken up the slack lol so hopefully all is well now with everyone. I hope this doesnot discourage people from signing up next year. We have had 2 years of doing this and only a couple of bad people not sending but it was fixed up in the end. So hopefully next year will be better. Thanks termit for doing another great job this year.

Merry Christmas everyone

Aww...you fishies are the bestest

I must say that although I'm not sure what happened with my exchange partner, that even before Christmas when I was in hosp I received a few really nice Christmas cards, as well as a few goodies from my friends Angelpsychic and Roxxy.

So I thought it was a great holiday...just to know my fishie buddies were thinking of me when I needed it most meant a lot.

Thank you 's for the offers to send along a gift to make up for what happened. It's just enough that you offered!!

I still think the Exchange idea is a great one, and will be in with fins crossed next year!!!

I think its just awful for people not to send their gifts, if you sign up for something you know in advance what its all about and whats required.

I know things come up in people's lives that are uncontrolable, but I still would have made sure that an obligation that I took was fulfilled, especially if it meant someone would be hurt by me not carring out my end of a deal.

Its a shame that someone would let someones feelings be hurt at a time when we should all be celebrating a joyous occasion.

Thanks Jenn for taking YOUR time and arranging this for all of us and I am sorry for the people that got bad apples for exchange partners

Yes, I did neglect to send a big thanks to Jenn. I know you worked hard arranging all the numbers this year even though you had a lot going on. Your efforts are certainly appreciated by everyone!

I too want to send a great big hug to termit for putting her time and energy into a wonderful event. This was my first year being involved in the exchange. I had a wonderful time doing and I received wonderful gifts from my partner. I volunteered to take on more partners as soon as i heard there were some ppl not fulfilling their obligations. I hope that this wonderful event doesn't get put on the shelf because of a few bad fish. If there is anyway for me to lend a fin please let me know. And thanks again termit you are WONDERFUL!

I assure you that the exchange will never be "put on the shelf" it's becoming a tradition to kick off the holiday season. I just keep track of the people that screwed their partners and they aren't allowed to join the following year....
As long as i have access to a computer...the exchange will go on.

We have to thank...juju too....for giving us such a great forum where things like the exchange come together.
So thanks juju....

termit

I wanted to clarify why my gif was late, I had asked my husband to mail the package for me and informed him that the items were in the car. This was about dec 10th or so. I though that the items were sent , then one day I was looking for something the back, when i found the items. It was now dec 23rd, and the items had not been sent. I am truly sorry about the delay . I proptly went to the post office and mailed the items on xpress post so that the would arrive asap. They did arrive a few days after christmas. I am sorry about the delay, but I wanted to clear my name and let everyone know what happened.

Valleygirl did not get this package.
I know when you mail any parcel now, all post offices give you a receipt with a tracking number. You are able to track this parcel on line to see where it is. Just click "tracking a package". http://www.canadapost.ca/segment-e.asp
Since you sent it Xpresspost they guarantee delivery within 2 business days and offer delivery confirmation. Since you are way past this point you should contact the post office immediately and they will either locate this parcel or refund your delivery fee plus pay you for the value of the parcel so you can replace it and buy a new gift for Valleygirl.

Next time you feel like accusing me of lying, don't do it without verifing with me. . I did get a reciept and at first the reciept said that was it was not delivered. so I called canada post and it was delivered on dec 27. So i would appreciat you NOT accusing me of this. If i need to show you bank statements indicating that i sent the item then I will , but I don't believe you should accuse me. I will try and find the reciept and call canada post, when i thought i was delivered then I might have thrown it out. If that is the case I will replace gift.

Sorry you misread this as an accusation. I was just making a statement of fact and giving general information on how to track packages for all members who might benefit from this info.
I have no vested interest in this, having never participated in any of these exchanges personally. My role here was as a mod; just to provide a link when I saw a possible solution to a problem.
