This morning my prize form the McCain Crescendo 4th Quarter Super Bowl Contest arrived. (I had emailed the lady telling her I was moving at the end of the month, and wanted to know if she needed the new address incase it wasn't coming in time)
Well this will make you all laugh.
This was the NFL contest that Jenchamps won the grand prize trip to Superbowl 2007.
They sent me a Wilson CFL Team ball Sakatchewan Roughrider's ball,
In her reply to my email she said there was some problems but they worked them out and it would arrive shortly, guess the problem was getting the NFL prizes, so they substituted with CFL, ok.
Strange but funny.

I went back and double checked to make sure I was right and the prizes were supposed to be NFL, so I emailed her to ask if there was a mistake, just cuz I'm curious, I told her I'm greatful for the contest win, but curious why it's a CFL prize and not NFL.

My opinion is thus: never give up trying to get your prize! if the company that picked your mom's name ( promotional company that did the judging ) did not respond..go above their heads..go to the COMPANY ITSELF..for they are the ones that paid that promotional company to do the work involved in picking a winner etc. Sometimes I have heard some of these promotional companies keep the prizes and take them themselves ( i've heard of this happening in store ballot contests he! ) SO.. GO TO THE HEAD OF THE CEO of the company if you have to! I did this once ..hey..come from a place of gratefulness sure..one does not have to be miserable..but hey...one does need to stand up for themselves when they do unacceptable behaviour like this! So go for it..DO NOT GIVE UP! ;-)) If you want help..ask the contest queen..she's aggressive and will bug them until you get your mom's prize! ;-))

No, I live in Brantford, but when I was a little girl, I lived in Copper Cliff, Ontario.
Later, I went to Levack every summer for two months.
I have wonderful memories of the area, from fishing for pickeral to picking blueberries.
My dad was an INCO police officer...later that force was imalgamated into othe Sudbury Regional Police force. My mom and dad separated just before I started school, so I spent my holidays with him.
We also had some great friends in the Sudbury area. My husband's best friend taught at St. Charles High School until he died a few years ago.
I also still have some second cousins living there.

It is a rotten thing for them to do.When I won the SK refer-a friend contest from them this summer I had to fight to get my prize. I flooded their email addy with the same email contantly, since they kept telling me it was in the mail ... in the mail yeah right. Finally by Nov it showed. is this the email addy you used?

Mike they may have not sent the card because when your Mom won it , it was a fmous players card and they knew that in a couple of months that famousplayers would not exsist anymore that it would be empire theaters. It is no excuse though they still should have gotten ahould of you(her) and told you something.

there are many sites that I have not reciverd prizes from Flare being the worse. but they put on the contest and it is up to their sponsors to send the prizes out not Flare themselves.

right now I am waiting on a george strait CD win from Dec still a couple of flare wins and the lilo and stitch CD rom game, macell win and huggies. I 'm guessing though that the CD is never going to show since they have never ansered my emails either

That was indeed the Email addy I used. I am somewhat pleased today as I got an email from the Head of Marketing for Mac's as my Angry email had been forwarded to him from the Customer Service Rep who got it. He claimed he was totally unaware of the whole situation as they hired a 3rd party to handle all their promo's and requested I send him full info on the prize and contest and any of the emails I had saved(which was almost all of them!) Within 2 hours of sending in everything he requested, he emailed back saying he was shocked and sorry and asking for a bit more time( I gave him 7 days in the angry Email) as he is now having a meeting next week with this 3rd party provider to get some serious questions answered and assured me they would resolve the matter very, very swiftly and to my satisfaction. I hated to have to go to that level, but enough was enough, I agree.
