A lot of people on different boards ar ehaving problems, some haven't been able to enter since the first hours of the contest.

Not quite sure why it happens, but I've encountered that problem a couple of times. I waited 10 minutes, went back and still got the message. I had to sign off the internet, then sign back on and it was okay. If it still happens delete your cookies, but I haven't had to do that. Hope it works.

I haven't had any problems entering. By the way, I am using cable internet.

How do I get a NPE code? Am I supposed to click on one of the icons?

you just log in, and do a short survey. There'll be a code at the end of it

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but exactly how does the search feature work? I tried to post a contest from m&m's candy but it got deleted as a repost. I did do a search using everything I could think of. I tried m&m's, I tried the name of the contest, heck I even tried the url and the search yielded nothing. I did narrow it down to the contest and freebies thread and even checked off titles and excerpts. So when I found nothing I posted the contest. What more could I do? I am trying to contribute to the bowl but everytime I do I seem to get repost deleted on my posts. I am using the search feature incorrectly?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

I have this same problem and have just given up on posting freebies or contests. The only thing I can think of is that the posts are too recent to show up in the search?

It is difficult sometimes. The search feature goes by the phrases that were in the original posts. It can NOT search for URL's.

The problem is that everyone posts things in different ways: some use the actual contest name, some just post what you can win, (sometimes in their own words) others use the company name. Sometimes people don't write anything and just post the link-in this case it doesn't show up in the search.

I often remember having seen a contest before and pandoracat almost always remembers them because she posts so many. Quite often I realize I need to search with a different term when I try to enter the contest on a new post and am told I have already entered. Since I get almost all my contests from here this is my big tip-off! I have the most luck using just a word or two. If you use phrases that are too specific it tends to eliminate any hits.
For instance if it is "Royales Big Casino Payday contest with a fabulous trip to a spa in Las Vegas" I would probably search for Las Vegas first since most people post a trip destination. Sometimes I just check the rules for a contest and find the contest start date. Often you can just scroll the thread for that date (and maybe the next day or two) and find it.

In any case don't sweat it. Nobody is keeping score here and there is certainly no personal reflection on the poster if it is deleted. Everyone here knows how hard it can be to remember all the contests and to search for them.
We know you have contributed to the bowl and we all appreciate your efforts. Just keep on plugging.

I posted 3 contests this morning in the contests October 9-15 thread and the contests did not want to post. Any idea what is going on?

Are any other fishies having problems entering the Smuckers contest? This is the 2nd day that it's not working for me when I press submit.

The Smuckers contest is working okay for me these last few days.

Anyone else having trouble entering the Stouffer's contest? I get an error page when I submit and I can't find what's wrong with my entry. 'Error on line 172', it says.

I'm also having issues with the Smirnoff one.. I didn't write down my 00 number when it appeared on screen, and when I ask the site to email it to me it says it does but nothing comes to my email address (not in my spam either). Frustrating! I want to enter the daily contest there but I can't without that number.
