I understand your point of view, as I have been to many other sites just like this one and I find it much more organized when the contests are put into their own distinctive folders, then you wont necessairly get as many reposts because the people who post will put the ending date and each contest folder will fill up differently, for example the instant win contest and the one time entry contest will take longer to get full than say the magazine contests or the daily. So that way we can accomidate not only the very frequent fishies but the ones who arent fortune enough to get here every hour of every day. I want to enter just as many contests as the next fishie, but I am not able to get here every day, and I dont want to sit here and search all of the posts for past contests that perhaps I have missed.

There are several freebie sites organized the way you are describing. You are free to use them if you prefer them, of course.
Juju's bowl has more active members than any of the other Canadian freebie and contest boards and could easily be overwhelmed with reposts if we allowed them. We frequently have 8 or 10 people post the same contest, so it could be very repetitive and also adds more clutter to the bowl, which keeps the server tied up and slows down everything for everyone. The other problem with old one-time contests is that many fishies forget they entered 6 months ago so they re-enter and disqualify themselves.
We decided to organize this way through long experience. Separating them into "daily, weekly" etc turned out to be a LOT of work for moderators, since about half of all posts end up in the wrong thread! It also turned out to take way longer for members to check for new contests since they had to open way more threads to do so.
We realize that we do not organize the way most other sites do, but possibly that is one reason many members come here. Many other sites are full of freebies and contests that take up a lot of time with no results because they are full of business, US offers, old expired links and links to other "free" sites. Overall we are quite happy with the format we are using and really don't foresee changing to one that would make things more complex for our happy little goldfish brains.
