Someone mentioned the other day how the IBM mail study is kinda a pain and we don't even know if anyone is actually winning. When I submitted my info the other day I mad that comment in the box and this is the response I got: When you reported your most recent mailpiece I believe you were asking about the contest and contest winners. The contest involves no public advertising, therefore information about the winners will not be released to the public. The most recent draw was held in the second week of October, therefore the next draw will be held mid-January. The contest draws are held every 3 months (quarterly) and the chance of winning in a draw depends on the number of eligible contestants entered in the draw. To be eligible, a receiver must report their mailpiece within 24hrs of receipt. For every mailpiece reported correctly, the receiver is given one entry. In each draw, the contest winners are determined by random selection. In each of the four contest periods, there are 11 draws. The first drawn receiver wins a money order in the amount of CDN$500 and the following ten receivers win CDN$50. While we are unable to disclose the names of the winners, here is the information we can divulge:

The grand prize winner is from Mississauga

The ten $50 winners were distributed as follows:
2 Nova Scotia
1 New Brunswick
1 Quebec
3 Ontario
1 Saskatchewan
2 Alberta

All prize winners have been notified by couriered letter and have responded. The next draw will be taking place in the 2nd week of January 2007

I also received my Scrabble and Boggle games from the Reader's Digest contest from back in August, finally!! They are travel editions in nice zip-up cases. I'm a happy fishie today!!

Aaaah! I'm so excited! I won a secondary prize in one of the Muchmusic contests! Well, if I answer the STQ correctly. I just heard the voicemail on my phone. Funny thing is, I can't tell what contest he's saying...sounds like "Soft 3" or something I can't wait to find out. I'm so glad he left a message. I wasn't home when he called but probably wouldn't have even answered it as it came up "Private Number" on the phone. Anyways, I hope I can answer the STQ right!
