Summary of my beefs....I get annoyed by filling out contest entry form, press submit and then directed to 2nd page which thanks me for subscribing to a newsletter. Also the rules are often overly complicated and legalistic to figure out key points. Finally, this annoys me that a company cannot take the time and effort to include all Canadians!

I get annoyed when security codes on contest entry forms are hard to read and I have to keep re-entering them til I get it right...

or sometimes they just dont work and you have to reset the contest page, always happened to me with the phone uri contest.

Or when the page won't load (and you have to reset it) and when you DO reset it, it tells you you have already entered this contest...and because of that it's now disqualified your entry that you thought never went through in the first place

Daily entry contests which require me to complete the same survey upon every (daily) entry. Maple Leaf contests are bad for that.

I hate ones with lots of steps and pages so that it takes forever to enter the contest...like Pepsi with entering a code multiple times or the Campbell's soup one with multiple pages to load.

That happens to me alot on the CityTV contests!

For me its when you go through and fill out everything only to find out at the end that you need a UPC and you don't have one.

One extra beef: On many contest entry forms they insist on daytime phone and in rules say they have to be able to reach the person in daytime , yet there is no recognition of fact that telephone numbers are longer now, including area code and extensions that include 5 numbers. The general business number is not sufficient when one works in a large companyetc! and you cant even squeeze in the number when there seems to be space as the submit wont work: they only accept the basic number not extensions and certainly not a 5 number extension.

I get that too! Usually with the Rubbermaid monthly one & the star.com book one.

I HATE entering codes on entry forms, especially ones that are hard to read! It sucks that the people who enter with robots (I'm not referring to roboform) screwed it up for the rest of us! But I guess it gives us non-robots better chances at winning.

For me it's any contest that requires you to play a boring annoying game or that has a lot of graphics and takes forever to load. I have dial up so I usually skip these ones unless it's something I really want.

Currently I'm hating the annoying campbell's slurping burping soup and the long boring chevy shoot out.

Actually I enojoy sweeping and also enjoy reading the winners lists
my big beef is when people give out false information
I guess they do this so that the other people DQ (disqualify) themselves and won't win
bad karma in my books but thats just me personally
I would rather give honest information
some contests track ISP numbers......alot of people ask if its alright to enter hubby and themselves..but if the rules state one per household, and you both have the same isp addy...then no matter how many hotmail accounts or gmail accounts you have..you will be dq'ing yourself

people who dont ask a sponsor site for details on whos eligible and just blatantly post false information
