I am going to walmart today and wil check that out. I wonder if they are board game people though. i know the older kids spend alot of their time on the computer. A downfall of most kids these days.....Maybe I could ask hubbys other sister and see what she thinks of these ideas...She knows them pretty well.

What if you did send one of these gift ideas and they did spend time together. Wouldn't that be an even larger Christmas gift - the gift of family?? Maybe you can change your hubby's mind.

The movies in the basket could be one movie for each of them to enjoy...they dont have to watch it together...and if its like my house ,our taste in movies is very different from each other.

Along with some good munchies its still a great gift idea

I think it's an awesome idea. I keep suggesting your wonderful idea just to be shot down. I even thought of making a snowman kit complete with bottons top aht etc. but nope not a good idea apparently...gezzz..I can't win!!!..maybe I'll give them a gift certificate for family counselling, so that they can learn to soend time together and then next christmas get them a board game?...just kidding

Too funny, lol...anyway, I really like the movie gift basket idea. I would suggest to your hubby that if he doesn't like the ideas, he can buy the gift! Really, it is the thought that counts, a movie basket or any other gift that would make them come together as a family is for them to do and you aren't making them. I really think you are, or your husband putting way too much thought into it. Personally, I would get what you want for them and just do it, otherwise let your husband get the gift. Besides, even though your husband thinks they don't spend time as a family, how does he know for sure, unless he has lived with them recently
Good luck!

I have in laws that are very hard to buy for , you know have everything and always the best.Sometimes I just have to say the heck with it and stop driving myself crazy trying to come up with a good gift (by this time they would end up with a gift certificate to one of there fav restaurantes to save my self any more grief over trying to find the perfect gift)maby you should just go for the micky dees gc`s.
