yes it ended... that is where my prize came from. Dell has already launched a NEW Win With Dell contest (called What's That Flick?). First prize is a choice from 4 vacations (worth $6300), with 14 weekly prizes of Dell Laptops. This new contest runs from Nov13 - Jan 02.

Got a call from Metro Vancouver to say I had won a James Blunt CD. I remember entering for James Blunt tickets. There is no mention of a CD on the contest form or rules.

Are they holding onto the tickets for themselves
Seems really odd.

What should I do ?

You should be happy you won the cd, probably a secondary prize

Is it possible they called the first time and you missed it and got a second or alternative prize? The rules say something about having 1 hour to respond.

The metro contest is for big concert tickets, and it doesn't hurt to send a polite note or call and inquire if the contest rules link above is for the contest you won.

Who knows maybe you missed out on the hour time or something, or maybe they decided to just randomly give away CDs to other non-ticket winners as an added bonus.

You won't know until you ask, and I don't see any reason not to ask if you thought the prize was tickets and you get a CD .

I'm thrilled to win the CD but there is no mention of a secondary prize or a CD on the entry form or rules. It just seems strange.

I won a contest this summer from Metro Toronto, and the original contest only mentioned one prize of four tickets for the opeing night of We Will Rock You and dinner for 4 at a local restaurant.

I ended up winning just 2 tickets for a showing a few days later and no dinner. Several people on contest boards also won the same prize as me, so I'm guessing that they had extra tickets and just gave them out to others who had entered the contest.

My son and husband enjoyed the show immensely!

Maybe this is what they've done for your Vancouver contest too.

I won the "Broadway in London" contest from A-Channel - 2 tickets (great seats, too, by the look of them) to each of the Broadway shows at the JLC: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Movin' Out, Annie, Drowsy Chaperone, The Rat Pack is Back, Riverdance and Stomp! I believe the prize package is worth somewhere between $700 and $800. I love Broadway musicals and haven't had a night out in...well, I can't remember. I'm absolutely thrilled!!!!
