Take it to a store and request an exchange. Most are good about that type of thing.

Same thing happened to me a few years back, I won a board game that was french only. I brought it to Toys`R`Us and said I got the wrong language game as a gift and they changed it for an english one, no problems. Hopefully their policy hasn`t changed.

What if you try exchanging it in a store. Explain that you received it as a gift but it is in French and you would really like to have the English version. Since it is a straight exchange, it might work.
