If anyone has a suggestion for a free e-mail provider that doesn't keep changing their look I would be most grateful.

Tried g-mail but within 4 weeks they changed their entire setup. Hated it, but couldn't opt out. Tried yahoo. Today, again they changed their setup and again I cannot opt out.

Just want to send and receive e-mails. Don't want twitter, etc.

Just sign me baffled

Change is inevitable. Eventually a provider will overhaul their web interface, either to (ostensibly) improve the user experience, or to add additional features.

I use Gmail, but 99% of the time I'm using a dedicated email client rather than the web interface - I honestly don't recall the last time I logged in via the web.

Have a look at the new Outlook.com; perhaps it will meet your standards.
