You can also register for a Petcetera card (membership not credit card). You accumulate points with purchases to get some discouts. Also, it tracks your pet food purchases... 10th bag is free.... (They're supposedly making it better in July 2002...)

though i don't benefit from the 10th bag free thing.. 'cuz the bags i buy are tooo small...

any dog owners out there ?? i've got a Q..

i usually buy the small bag because i worry about the food being "fresh".. shall i buy a bigger bag? 'cuz i know it's cheaper to buy bigger... thx!

We always buy the big bag, just because it is
way cheaper. I don't know if it goes stale or not,
the dog still eats it!!!

Same here... my dog (she's such a ham) doesn't seem to notice... it is much cheaper to buy the big bag... (you can give your dog a treat once in a while and mix dry with wet... and a little bit of hot water to make gravy )... My dog goes nuts over this...

We have a Jack Russell, and he eats 2/3 of a cup a day. I still buy the giant bag, but I have one of those huge ice cream buckets (ask your local diner to save one for you), and keep the food fresh inside. the giant bag takes about 3 months to empty here, and with the bucket I don't worry about mice, bugs, or freshness. Similarily, the cat food goes in a smaller bucket!

We buy a big bag in the winter, and small bags in the summer. In the winter we keep the majority of the dogfood in the garage where it's cold, but in the summer we have no where cold to store it and and it usually gets bugs after about 2 months. It doesn't even matter if we put it in an airtight container, cuz the bug eggs are in the food. It's totally disgusting, poor dog.

Hey z0ner you need to buy a better quality of food. There should not be bug eggs in the food... that is not right. I would be writing to the manufacturer and complaining. Not exceptable.

And stop buying that food.
I cannot believe that companies think they can get away with something like that. There are very strict laws for dog foods and that brand would not pass them.

so off i go to buy the GIANT BAG! at least the size that qualifies for buy 10 get 11th free..
